NJAR® RSS Feeds
NJAR® now offers RSS feeds to help keep
the public and members updated on new
content on the NJAR® website.
Look for the RSS logo (shown left)
throughout the site to locate feeds to which you can
subscribe. A list of
the available RSS feeds is also shown below, as
well as common questions relating to what RSS feeds are, and how to benefit from them.

What is an RSS feed?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
technology is used to create a "feed" (list)
of news stories and headlines that you can have delivered to
you. For example, when we publish new
stories or press releases on our site, those
headlines can be added to a feed to which
you can subscribe.
RSS feeds enable you to get update
notifications delivered directly to you, via
the RSS Reader of your choice. RSS offers convenience because you can subscribe to
feeds from several Internet sites and
automatically pull together headlines from
all the sources into one list. This lets you
quickly browse the list of new content
without visiting each site.
What do I need to
access a RSS feed?
You will need a RSS/News Aggregator
(also called a Reader) that will download and
display RSS feeds for you. A number of free
and commercial Readers are available for
download. Some examples can be found
below under the "Subscribe" heading.
Many Readers are separate, "stand-alone"
programs. Others are part of more
full-featured programs, such as e-mail
clients (i.e. Outlook 2007) or web browsers
(i.e. Internet Explorer 7).
How do I subscribe to a feed?
If you have one of the Readers shown
below under "Subscribe", simply click on the button which
corresponds to your Reader next to the feed
you wish to subscribe to. You will be
brought to your respective Reader to
subscribe to the feed. To add the feed
to Internet Explorer 7, you can simply click
on the XML link below, and then click on the
"Subscribe to this Feed" link near the top
of the page.
If your Reader is not shown under
"Subscribe" below, simply copy
the link next to the feed you wish to
subscribe to. You will then go into
your Reader, locate where you would add a new
feed, and paste the link into the
Reader.
