NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE
NJAR.com offers tools and information for real estate professionals, consumers & media
(Edison, NJ) The New Jersey Association of
REALTORS® (NJAR®) today unveiled its newly
redesigned website, www.njar.com, which
includes information and resources for real
estate professionals, consumers and members
of the media. The site, which is more
user-friendly and easier to navigate,
provides 24/7 access to real estate-related
information such as NJAR® news, legislative
issues and housing statistics.
"NJAR®'s website is an excellent way for
anyone to get information about our
association and real estate issues in New
Jersey," said NJAR® President Bill Hanley.
"As a leading advocate for private property
rights and homeownership opportunities in
our state, it is essential that we provide a
way for real estate consumers and
professionals to be updated and informed on
real estate issues that may impact them."
Among many features available at njar.com is
access to information about the impact a
local realty transfer fee could have on the
cost of buying and selling a home in New
Jersey. Visitors may use the site to learn
more about REALTORS® and the REALTOR® Code
of Ethics, which sets forth standards of
practice for all members of the REALTOR®
organization to act honestly and ethically.
They can also find information and resources
about preventing identity theft and
predatory lending. For those looking to buy
and/or sell real estate, the site provides a
link to a statewide REALTOR® search as well
as access to a national property search.
Materials such as a free Housing Opportunity
Resource Guide, which was created to help
prospective buyers identify the many housing
programs available in New Jersey, are also
available. For those considering a career in
real estate, more information about how to
obtain a real estate license and become a
member of the REALTOR® family may also be
found.
Housing research and statistics, such as the
quarterly New Jersey Home Sales Report, are
regularly posted at njar.com. Survey results
such as the New Jersey Member Profile,
Profile of New Jersey Buyers and Sellers,
and Profile of New Jersey Real Estate Firms
may also be viewed. Several studies
conducted by the NJAR® Governmental Research
Foundation on topics such as the impact a
realty transfer fee could have on home
sales, and options for reforming property
taxes in New Jersey are also available.
Through the press room individuals may
access NJAR® news, a downloadable press kit,
industry resources and annual real estate
events.
NJAR® members have exclusive access to
information about the Association's advocacy
efforts on a local, state and national
level. They may use the site to learn more
about environmental issues that impact a
real estate transaction and legislation that
could affect their business, homeownership
opportunities and private property rights.
Information about how members can comply
with federal and state laws is also
available through a new section on risk
management. Additional resources include
links to an online forms site, professional
development opportunities and REALTOR®
family designation programs.
The New Jersey Association of REALTORS®
is a non-profit organization serving the
professional needs of approximately 55,000
