NJAR® Announces Poster Contest Winners
Students' Artwork to Appear in Fair Housing Calendar
(Edison, NJ) The New Jersey Association
of REALTORS® (NJAR®) proudly announces the
winners of its fourth annual fair housing
poster contest. Open to New Jersey students
in grades three to six, the contest called
for artwork conveying one of two themes,
either "What Equal Opportunity in Housing
Means to Me" or "Keeping Fair Housing in
Mind, What Changes Would You Like to See in
Your Neighborhood?"
The contest was sponsored by the NJAR®
Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity
Committee, who chose thirteen posters to
adorn the pages and cover of the 2007
"Housing for All" calendar. The calendar
will also include the name and artwork for
each of the 19 honorable mention winners.
"I would like to thank all of the
students involved for submitting such
wonderful artwork," said NJAR® President
Bonnie Fitzgerald. "Through their creative
insight, the students are helping to convey
the valuable message that everyone deserves
equal opportunities in housing."
In addition to having their artwork
published in the calendar, the 13 winners
will each receive a framed copy of their
poster, a certificate of achievement and a
$25 American Express Gift Cheque. The
winners, listed below, will receive their
prizes at the NJAR® awards session during
the Triple Play 2006 REALTOR® Convention and
Trade Expo in Atlantic City in December.
