NJAR® Holds Fourth Annual Fair Housing Poster Contest
(Edison, NJ) The New Jersey Association
of REALTORS® (NJAR®) Equal
Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee is
seeking fair housing artwork from New Jersey
students in grades three to six for its
fourth annual Fair Housing Poster Contest.
NJAR® is promoting the poster contest
throughout the month of April in honor of
Fair Housing Month.
"Every year the children bring a fresh
perspective and element of creativity to the
Fair Housing Poster Contest," said NJAR®
President Bonnie Fitzgerald. "The calendar
demonstrates fair housing through the eyes
of New Jersey's young students who are our
vision for the future."
Students are asked to submit artwork
depicting, "What Equal Opportunity in
Housing Means to Me" or "Keeping Fair
Housing in Mind, What Changes Would You Like
to See in Your Neighborhood?" Twelve posters
will be chosen by the NJAR® Equal
Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee to
be featured in the 2007 "Housing for All"
calendar, which will be available in fall
2006. All proceeds from the calendars go to
the New Jersey Association of REALTORS®
Housing Opportunity Foundation, Inc., a 501
(c) (3) charitable organization that seeks
to create greater home ownership
opportunities for New Jersey residents.
NJAR® must receive poster submissions
by June 30, 2006. Entries may be sent to
NJAR®, P.O. Box 2098, Edison, NJ 08818.
Posters may also be submitted to local
boards/associations of REALTORS®
participating in the contest.
Entry rules:
- Posters must be no larger than 18x24
inches.
- Posters must be produced in color.
- Please refrain from using materials
such as buttons, cotton, etc.
- All entries must be labeled with the
following information on the back of the
poster:
- Student's name, age, home telephone number and address
- Teacher's name, school, telephone number and address
- All winning posters become the property
of the New Jersey Association of REALTORS®
for production of the 2007 calendar.
The New Jersey Association of REALTORS®
is a non-profit organization serving the
professional needs of approximately 55,000
REALTOR® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® members in
the state. REALTOR® is a registered
collective membership mark which may be used
only by real estate professionals who
subscribe to the REALTOR® organization's
