For Immediate Release: NJAR® President-Elect Attends Leadership SeminarEdison, NJ - New Jersey Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®) President-Elect Bonnie Fitzgerald, GRI, CRB, CRS, RECS, recently attended the 2005 NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) Leadership Summit in Chicago. The two-day Leadership Summit on August 18-19, 2005 brought together Presidents-Elect and Executive Officers of state and local associations, commercial boards and structures, regional MLSs, and national institutes, societies, and councils. Representatives from NAR provided the association leaders and future association leaders with information on integrating national programs and priorities into state and local association activities and on developing objectives for their new leadership role. Various industry leaders presented on topics such as technology, association leadership and management, industry issues, and future trends in business and society. A REALTOR® since 1983, Fitzgerald is an active member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, New Jersey Association of REALTORS® and the Ocean County Board of REALTORS®. Fitzgerald has served on the NJAR® Board of Directors as first vice president (2004), public relations and communications division officer (2003) and as a NJAR® Director. At the national level, Fitzgerald is a member of the multiple listings issues and policies committee and has served as a NAR director. As a member of the Ocean County Board of REALTORS (OCBOR), Fitzgerald is a member of the strategic planning, personnel, multiple listing service, budget & finance and professional standards committees. In 1999, she served as president of OCBOR. Fitzgerald was named REALTOR® of the Year in 1999 by both the Ocean County Board of REALTORS® and NJAR®. The New Jersey Association of REALTORS® is a non-profit organization serving the professional needs of approximately 49,000 REALTOR® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® members in the state. REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark which may be used only by real estate professionals who subscribe to the REALTOR® organization's strict Code of Ethics and are members of the National, State and Local REALTOR® organizations. # # #
