NJAR® NAMES REALTOR® AND
REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® OF THE YEAR
(Atlantic City, NJ) - During an awards session at the Triple
Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo in
Atlantic City today, the New Jersey
Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®) presented
its annual REALTOR® of the Year and
REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® of the Year awards. The
prestigious annual awards recognize two
NJAR® members' contributions to the real
estate industry, as well as their continued
commitment and support to the local
community through the REALTOR® organization.
The REALTOR® of the Year award was presented
to Ellen Kale of Joosten Kale Realty in
Shrewsbury. Roy Minieri of Prudential Fox &
Roach, REALTORS® in North Brunswick was
named REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® of the Year.
Winners of the NJAR® awards are selected
from among the REALTOR® and
REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® of the Year winners of
the local REALTOR® boards and associations
in New Jersey.

"Year after year, the recipients of these
awards are among NJAR®'s most committed and
involved members and this year is no
exception. Both Ellen and Roy have gone
above and beyond to serve their clients,
community, and the REALTOR® organization."
Kale was nominated by the Monmouth County
Association of REALTORS® where she serves as
its current president. She started her real
estate career in 1978 and obtained her
broker's license in 1982. Over the years,
Kale has been a member of numerous
committees at the local level including
multiple listing services, grievance, and
budget and finance committees. Kale serves
as the chairperson of the NJAR® 2008
professional standards committee and sits on
the NJAR® Board of Directors and Executive
Committee.
In addition to her many real estate-related
activities, Kale is an active volunteer for
numerous organizations throughout Monmouth
County. She is a former treasurer and member
of the Eatontown/Tinton Falls Kiwanis Club
and trustee of the United Methodist Church.
She also supports Clean Ocean Action, as
well as Habitat for Humanity.
Minieri was nominated for the
REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® of the Year award by the
Middlesex County Association of REALTORS® (MCAR),
where he serves as a mediator on the
professional standards committee and member
of its board of directors. As co-chair of
the MCAR community service committee, he has
been actively involved with the Food for the
Hungry campaign, collecting and distributing
300 supermarket bags of food, serves dinner
to the needy at the Salvation Army, collects
bears for children hospitalized with cancer
and numerous other activities. On the state
level, Minieri is a local board
representative on the NJAR® Board of
Directors.
Minieri serves his local community, by
helping to coordinate the broadcast of North
Brunswick Township government meetings and
also hosts the monthly talk show North
Brunswick Today. In addition to his civic
volunteer activities, Minieri and his family
are involved in Amandla Crossing and several
community service activities through their
local church, St. Mary's Mount Virgin
Church.
The New Jersey Association of REALTORS®,
