ROBERT KENNEDY JR. TO SPEAK
AT LARGEST ANNUAL REAL ESTATE EVENT IN THE REGION
(Edison, NJ) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will give
the keynote address at the eighth annual
Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade
Expo, which will take place at the Atlantic
City Convention Center December 9-11, 2008.
Sponsored by the New Jersey, New York State
and Pennsylvania associations of REALTORS®,
Triple Play is the largest annual real
estate event in the region.
Slated as one of the highlights of the
convention, Kennedy's Grand Assembly keynote
address will focus on environmental issues.
In his presentation "A Contract with Our
Future," Kennedy will offer advice on how
businesses can utilize sound environmental
policies and procedures to grow, save money
and help preserve the environment for the
future. The Grand Assembly will take place
on Wednesday, December 10, from 12:15 p.m.
to 1:45 p.m.
A renowned environmentalist, Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. was named one of Time
magazine's "Heroes for the Planet" for his
success helping Riverkeeper lead the fight
to restore the Hudson River. The group's
achievement helped spawn more than 130
Waterkeeper organizations across the globe.
Kennedy serves as chief prosecuting attorney
for the Hudson Riverkeeper and president of
Waterkeeper Alliance. He is also a clinical
professor and supervising attorney at Pace
University School of Law's Environmental
Litigation Clinic. Earlier in his career, he
served as assistant district attorney in New
York City.
Kennedy is the author of several books,
including the New York Times
bestseller "Crimes Against Nature" (2004)
and "The Riverkeepers" (1997). His writings
have appeared in the New York Times,
Newsweek, Wall Street Journal,
Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Los Angeles
Times, Esquire, The Nation, Outside magazine
and numerous other publications.
A graduate of Harvard University, Kennedy
studied at the London School of Economics,
received his law degree from the University
of Virginia Law School, and a master's
degree in environmental law from Pace
University School of Law.
Kennedy's address is just one of many
exciting events that will take place at
Triple Play. The convention provides a
unique opportunity for commercial and
residential brokers and salespeople,
property managers, appraisers, counselors
and other real estate professionals to
converge in one place to network, attend
educational events and hear from nationally
recognized speakers. This year, more than
7,500 people are expected to attend. The
Trade Expo will feature more than 400 booths
showcasing the latest real estate technology
and products. Exhibitors include a variety
of mortgage, home inspection, insurance,
financial, environmental, real estate and
technology companies.
Early-bird, discounted prices of $60 for
members and $120 for non-members are
available for those who register by October
15, 2008. Regular fees of $75 for
members and $135 for non-members will apply
thereafter. The deadline for
pre-registration is November 21, 2008.
