Get the REAL StorySM Public Education Campaign Ads Launched
(Edison, NJ) New Jersey real estate has
generally maintained its long-term value.
The seven year home appreciation rate (2001
to 2008) in the state is 80.4% - more than
double the national rate of 37.8%. There are
many signs of opportunity for home buyers in
the Garden State. This and other messaging
will be featured in the advertising portion
of the New Jersey Association of REALTORS®'
(NJAR®) Get the REAL StorySM public
education campaign. This week, ads promoting
the New Jersey housing market as a place of
opportunity will start appearing on radio,
in print and on the Internet and will
continue through the next four months.
"Not only do the advertisements remind
buyers that there are many reasons to
purchase a home, but they also highlight
real stories from consumers about their
recent buying and selling experiences in the
Garden State," said NJAR® Executive Vice
President Jarrod C. Grasso, RCE. "We feel it
is important to bring this information to
the forefront so the public gets a better
understanding about what is happening here
in New Jersey rather than relying on the
often generalized stories presented by the
national media."
The campaign features the theme, "Get the
REAL StorySM" on real estate in New Jersey,
and is intended to present an accurate
picture of New Jersey's real estate market,
while spotlighting the many positive aspects
of the current climate for consumers.
Radio ads began airing this week on WKXW-FM
NJ 101.5, WKXW-FM NJ 97.3, WPST-FM 94.5,
WBEB-FM 101.1, WAYV-FM 95.1, WNNJ-FM 103.7,
and WSUS-FM 102.3. Newspaper ads will start
appearing next week in the Star-Ledger -- Homefinder section, Trenton Times,
Gloucester County Times, and The Record.
During the next several weeks ads will also
appear in the Asbury Park Press, Home News
Tribune, Camden Courier Post, Press of
Atlantic City, El Nuevo, and Filipino
Express. Internet ads are set to run on
www.nj.com and
www.mycentraljersey.com.
"We are embarking on this ad campaign
because all real estate is local and
consumers need to understand national trends
do not always reflect local market
conditions," said 2008 NJAR® President Drew
Fishman, CRS. "They need to investigate
their local markets to make an informed
decision about their real estate options."
The complete media schedule is available
online at www.realstorynj.com/pdf/mediaschedule.pdf.
