April
Fair Housing Month
In 2003, President Bush designated April as
Fair Housing Month. Fair Housing Month is a
time to promote housing for all, no matter
what one's race, color, religion, sex,
handicap, familial status, or national
origin may be. The home seller, the home
seeker, and the real estate professional all
have rights and responsibilities to ensure
all citizens have equal rights
homeownership. NJAR® REALTORS® abide by a
strict
Code of Ethics to treat all parties
in a real estate transaction honestly.
REALTORS® support Fair Housing Month by
helping to raise awareness and educate
consumers about fair housing laws and the
importance of equal opportunity in housing.

National Homeownership Month
National Homeownership Month is a time when
REALTORS® promote the ability for all
citizens to obtain the American Dream of
homeownership. Although REALTORS® work hard
year-round to promote homeownership, June is
a special time of the year designated
towards creating a greater level of
awareness about the importance of providing
the opportunity for all to buy and sell real
estate.
In an effort to help promote housing, New
Jersey Association of REALTORS® Housing
Opportunity Foundation, Inc. (NJARHOF)
offers the Housing Opportunity
Resource Guide, a booklet to help
prospective buyers identify the many housing
programs available in New Jersey. For more

REALTOR® Safety Week
In an effort to encourage safe environments
for REALTORS® on the job, NJAR® in
conjunction with the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
REALTORS® (NAR) designates one week each
September as REALTOR® Safety Week. This
year, REALTOR® Safety week will be September
9 - September 15, 2007.
NJAR® promotes ways its members and the
public can make buying and selling a home
safe for everyone. NJAR® has a
REALTOR®
Safety Guide available to help protect its

November
REALTOR® Designation Awareness Month
Throughout the month of November, NJAR®
marks REALTOR® Designation Month by
informing its members of the benefits of
pursuing an official NAR-endorsed
designation or certification program. The
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) is
affiliated with 10 Institutes, Societies and
Councils that offer twenty advanced
education designation and certification
programs to help REALTORS® further their
education. Designations help REALTORS®
enhance personal education and provide a
deeper understanding of the industry. For a

Triple Play REALTOR® Convention & Trade Expo
The Triple Play REALTOR® Convention and
Trade Expo is the main educational and
networking event for real estate
professionals from New Jersey, New York and
Pennsylvania. Hosted by the New Jersey
Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®), New York
State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) and
Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® (PAR),
Triple Play is held every year in December
at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Triple Play provides an opportunity for real
estate professionals to network, learn more
about the industry, hear from nationally
recognized speakers, and earn professional
designations and certifications. In recent
years, more than 10,000 real estate
professionals have attended, and nearly 500
booths have been displayed at the event. For
