NJAR® to Offer GREEN Courses in March and April

On March 15-16, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., NJAR® will be holding a GREEN core course with Mimi Weisinger at the NJAR® office in Edison, N.J.  NJAR® will also be offering a GREEN Residential Elective with Mimi Weisinger at the NJAR® office on April 7, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  For registration information, view the course flyer.  For questions regarding the GREEN designation or these two courses, please contact NJAR® at (732) 494-5616 or e-mail info@njar.com

 

NJAR® to Hold SFR Certification Core Course March 8

On March 8, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., NJAR® will be holding a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Certification core course with Mimi Weisinger at the NJAR® office in Edison, N.J.  This Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) elective course helps REALTORS® to evaluate available options for distressed homeowners and to identify the components of an effective short-sale package. Participants will be able to counsel buyer-clients in the purchase of foreclosure properties and explain how consumers can avoid foreclosure in the future.  The cost is only $99.  For more details and registration information, click here.

 

Register for Upcoming Short Sales and Foreclosures Seminars

Sign up for one of the remaining three statewide events brought to you by the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® and your local boards/associations as part of the seminar series, "Short Sales and Foreclosures: The Real Estate… The Financial… The Legal." These events will give you the information you have been looking for to branch out into the short sale and foreclosure market. Request NJAR® Endorsement for 2011 NAR Leadership Academy

NJAR® understands the importance of providing members with the leadership skills provided in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) Leadership Academy and will be selecting a candidate to endorse for the 2011 program.  If the endorsed candidate is selected by NAR, NJAR® will cover tuition costs and some expenses for those conferences not covered by NAR.  

If you are interested in receiving NJAR®'s endorsement for the 2011 NAR Leadership Academy, please email your request and resume to cconlon@njar.com no later than Friday, February 5, 2010. The deadline to submit your application to NAR for the 2011 NAR Leadership Academy is March 31, 2010. Triple Play 2009 Highlights

NJAR® Announces GRI Class of 2009

At a ceremony during the Triple Play REALTOR® Convention and Trade Expo in Atlantic City on December 10, 2009, NJAR® presented 16 brokers and 48  REALTORS® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®s with the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation. 

GRI is a nationally recognized designation attained by members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) after successfully completing a rigorous 90-hour program of course work covering various areas of real estate including: ethics, technology, business development, financing, fair housing and legal issues.  Additionally, members may choose to complete the GRI Broker Course.  The course is comprised of the supplemental courses that, along with the GRI designation, satisfy the education requirements for the New Jersey broker license.  View the complete list of the 2009 GRI Graduates here, and 2009 GRI Broker Graduates here.

 

SFR Certification Fee Waived

The $175 application fee for NAR’s new Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification program is waived until December 31 as part of "Right Tools, Right Now" to help members master distressed sales. The SFR curriculum covers how to qualify sellers, negotiate with lenders, protect buyers, and limit transaction risk. To earn the SFR, members must complete a core course and three free Webinars.
