DR. NANCY H. MANTELL

Dr. Nancy H. Mantell is the director of Rutgers Economic Advisory Service (R/ECONtm). The service, which began in 1992, provides economic forecasts for the State of New Jersey and its labor areas four times each year and also hosts semi-annual conferences dealing with various aspects of the State's economy. Dr. Mantell has more than 30 years of modeling and forecasting experience, primarily in regional economics. Dr. Mantell has also been associated with Data Resources, Inc, WEFA, Inc. and Urbanomics. She has developed models for short-term and long-term forecasting of the economy and tax revenues of New York State, New York City, and New Jersey, and has been involved in many projects dealing with municipal and county economies in New Jersey. She received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
